MEDAN – HUMAS USU: Prof. Dr. Guslihan Dasatjipta, Sp.A(K), was elected as the Secretary of the Board of Trustees (MWA) of Universitas Sumatera Utara for the 2015–2020 period, as an Interim Replacement (PAW), replacing the previous MWA USU Secretary, Fahmi Natigor Nasution, S.E., M.Acc., Ak., C.A., C.M.A. The appointment was held in conjunction with the introduction of new interim MWA USU members from the Academic Senate and the dismissal of Academic Senate representatives in the 2014–2019 term.
The event took place in the Academic Senate Meeting Room, 3rd floor of the Central Administration Bureau Building of USU, on Thursday (May 28, 2020). It was chaired by the Chairman of MWA USU, Drs. Panusunan Pasaribu, M.M., accompanied by the Rector of USU, Prof. Dr. Runtung Sitepu, S.H., M.Hum., and the Regional Secretary of North Sumatra Province, Dr. Ir. Hj. R. Sabrina, M.Si. The meeting was attended by all MWA members, including two who joined online. Strict Covid-19 health protocols were enforced, including spaced seating arrangements, temperature checks at the entrance, and the provision of hand sanitizer, masks, and gloves.

To the outgoing MWA members from the Academic Senate, Chairman Drs. Panusunan Pasaribu, M.M., expressed his gratitude for their hard work and dedication. He also congratulated the newly appointed MWA members and hoped that everyone could work together to support the executive (Rector) in delivering optimal educational services to all USU students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2015–2020 MWA USU term will end on October 5, 2020.
"At present, many matters are occupying our thoughts and attention due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in which many activities are not operating normally, and some must even be suspended — both academic and administrative. With the three months remaining in our term, we hope to provide full support to the executive to carry out their duties under the threat of Covid-19, considering the heavy burden and responsibility they bear," said the MWA Chairman.
